On the inside, it features a specially integrated pocket that provides additional support for the stoma pouch and prevents it from slipping down the body in case it becomes detached. The pocket is positioned between the body and the pouch, reducing direct skin contact and thereby helping to minimize skin irritation and inflammation in the area around the stoma.

Stoma underwear should be comfortable and must not feel tight or restrictive. Sizing is selected in the same way as with regular underwear.

Stoma briefs and boxer shorts are worn on their own, while the stoma belt is used in combination with regular underwear. The garment is put on like standard underwear, ensuring that the pouch is properly placed in the front pocket. When wearing a stoma belt, regular underwear is worn over it.
